Good Afternoon—January 1, 2012
Happy New Year’s Day to all of you! I’m taking the night off since it’s a holiday. Tomorrow I have an announcement here about some changes that are going to be happening here. So check back for that if you want to, in the meantime, here’s hoping for a great 2012 for all of us!

Gene and Smoopy were out on the town in the BBC’s hometown of Baltimore last night celebrating New Year’s Eve and he sent in some photos of the fireworks there last night. Great photos, Gene, thanks for sending them in!

Sincere wishes for a great 2012 for you Marty. I look forward to your posts each day here in Ireland , and hope that whatever changes are afoot -that your friends and admirers can continue to share in your daily travels. It's surely a great effort on your part. I reckon you are a mighty man with an iron constitution. Most of all I admire your dedication to the task at hand, also your embrace of black, yellow and white, also your evenhanded dismissal of ignorance. The coffin and crypt await.
