Shit, this is a first. I’m just getting ready to go and I went to get my camera out of my bag and I must’ve forgot to pack it and left it at home. I had a plan for tonight, but I’m not going all the way home and then going out again, so I’ll do what I was going to do next week. So what about tonight? Well, I guess you’ll get some shots of my apartment. Hey, what are you going to do?
Okay, first things first, time to finally drink that Sol after repeated urgings from Britta and Clacky joined in last night.
And here it is, the lone bottle of Sol, finally out of the fridge.

This air conditioner is 8-years-old. I got it on sale from PC Richards for 93 bucks. I can't believe it still works, but it does. And on a scorching night like tonight, I'm thankful for it.
I think I've posted this picture before, but it's worth posting again, the "Funny Cry Happy" store on 14th Street. Sadly it's now a cell phone store. Ecch.

Here's an issue of Time Out New York where I wrote a story called, "16 Beers in 16 Bars in 16 Hours." Kind of a precursor for my 99 Beers book and 365 Bars. I got a cover line on the issue, so I was happy with that.

I along with Gene, am curious to see that Sweet Sixteen article, would like to see which bars you went to and if they are still there. That book towards the bottom of the stack in Japanese caught my eye,,,what is it about? Glen Campbell going out on tour with Alzheimer's,,,,sounds rather desperate on his part, you wonder if he might forget some lyrics or cross them like "By the time I get to Galveston",,,sorry, just think he doesn't need to do this,,,,why take the chance. I lived the Manson era out in LA,,,"Manson guilty, Nixon declares" at a newspaper stand,,,Manson saw it while going to court and said he couldn't get a fair trial,,,next day they turned all the paper stands toward the buildings,,,,LOL

@Al: That's a Japanese book about John Lennon. I'll scan in the 16 beers story and post it sometime this week. Hopefully it'll be readable. That had to be wild to be living in L.A. in 1969. Did you go to many shows and concerts at the time?

thanks for the tour...was disappointed no shots of gomer and sgt. carter...would also like to peruse the sweet sixteen write...funny i can read and view interviews w/ marty wombacher and even read his review a couple places of "the handcuffs" but this article does not come up anywhere...a little off topic...(this guy seems to wander all the time)....ah i forgqt....
