As the earth hurls out of orbit, straight into the sun, Norma and her neighbor, Mrs. Bronson try to help each other through the ordeal.
The streets are deserted as everyone tries to avoid the inevitable heat-stricken doom by heading north.
Finally the two break down as the heat and nerves continue to rise.
Just as the record temperatures continue to jump...
Norma wakes up out of a feverish dream. She remarks to Mrs. Bronson how nice it is to have darkness and cool air. She's relieved it was all just a nightmare.
In her fevered state, she doesn’t realize that the earth is still out of orbit, it’s just headed in the opposite direction, in the Twilight Zone.
Beers Consumed in the Hour:
Two 16 ounce cans of Budweiser.

It's new years eve in Minnesota...the temperature was over 40 degrees here today and it's RAINING outside...I think the earth really HAS shifted orbit.....
