The first day will just be a couple of introductory blogs and then the next day I'll go out and live blog from a location in New York. It's been a nice break, but I'm starting to get itchy to come back.
I'm always fearful I'll lose the whole audience I had by taking a break. The internet can be a fickle place, so I appreciate those of you that have popped back and been checking in.
And I've gotten some things in the mail and thought I'd put them up today and here they are in no special order! Britta sent in a photo she took of something you can't find in New York City: A cigarette machine from an Irish Pub. It brings back memories of when I used to buy packs of Marlboros at a bowling alley when I was a juvenile delinquent. They cost fifty cents a pack back then, now they're up to 13 dollars a pack in New York and it's illegal to smoke almost anywhere in the city! Gene sent in this ad from a newspaper in Baltimore: A Marty Party...and I wasn't invited! Those stinking bastards! And proving that he really is a brainiac, Jaws sent in this piece of art entitled: "Waiting For My Next Bright Idea." Yikes! And last, but certainly not least, Gidget sent in this picture of a new Gumby product. Hmmm...I guess they thought "Pokey" was too obvious! Don't forget to listen to the "Secret Weapon" on Woody Radio, where "Boris" picks the tunes and DJ Gidget spins them!
