Bonus Photos From “Boris” and Gene!
“Boris” and Gene both sent in photos over the weekend and here they are!
“Boris” shot this out in the woods and here’s his explanation of the shot: “I was out shooting some pics today and was taking one of this old rusted barbed wire against the snow and when I downloaded it I saw much to my surprise what could be Boxface's pet. I call this 'Tree Crushes White Cat'.” Great photo, Daddio! To see more of “Boris’” photography check out his facebook page here: Photos from “Boris.” And don’t forget to listen to “The Secret Weapon” on Woody Radio where “Boris” picks the tunes and DJ Gidget plays them and hosts the show!
MAD commenter and one third of the famed BBC crew, Gene Rubbico sent in this mystery shot and challenges the MAD audience to guess where it was taken. Here’s a little clue for you all: The walrus was Paul 1816. Any guesses out there?
And don’t forget, the new blog debuts February 1st, so please check back. I’m sure they’ll be a couple more updates here before that happens. Have a great week, everybody!

Let me guess, taken from a visit to 'MAD Headquarters'?
Let's tag up this week.
@"Boris:" Ha ha ha! I'll never tell. Let's definitely talk this week, Daddio!
16 more days to the new blog .... can't wait !
@GENE: Thanks! Just a couple weeks to go and thanks for the photo!
Is that a string of x-mas lights, or barbed wire, or what in the lower right hand corner?
Hmm, that could be an interesting post - people sending in photos of their stairwells. Well, maybe only interesting to me., so...uh...anyone, feel free to send me pics of your stairwell (or driveway!). But, MAD's got dibs on the idea, of course.
Looking forward to the new site!
@csp: It's barbed Christmas lights.
@Goggla: Ding, ding, ding...you guessed it! Gene took a photo of my stairwell from my roof. It's funny he sent it to me and I asked him where it was taken!
congrats to goggla...the 1861 hint threw me off...was goin' say one of the court houses i have "visited" but which one i'm not sure...my second guess was the baltimore gas and lighting co.'s offices...heard they have only been updated once since 1861...
off topic...has any madsters read the walrus was paul?...
Anthropology demands the open-mindedness with which one must look and listen, record in astonishment and wonder that which one would not have been able to guess.

Love that little face. Congratulations, Goggla, & I'm with you on the stairwell enthusiasm!
@rr: The 1816 is a play on my address. Great quote, anxious to get back to seeing a new one every day!
@onemorefoldedsunset: It's a great shot from "Boris" and from Gene. Happy stairwell to you!
Have you turned your roof into a tiki hut yet?
@Biff: No, but it's on the calendar for sure!
Nothin' better on a Friday morning than smokin' just a lil bit of the ole maryjane and reading some MAD.
@Reggie Thistleton: Thanks, I think in a couple weeks you're really going to enjoy the new blog! I appreciate you (and everbody) hanging in there!
Me thinks reggie and i can be good friends.
MAD is better than maryjane. Don't have to worry about passing the pee test.
@DaveW: Thanks, my friend, hope you think the same thing of the new blog!
Will February 1 ever come??? I need my Marty fix!
@Katrink: Ha ha ha! Thanks for hanging in there, just about a week away!
Gene's photo has got to be your apartment building, Marty?
